about purchasing "camera bag" add-on for PS Express

Apr 6, 2011 9:57 PM

Hi, here's a question.  Does "Adobe Camera Bag" add-on works only on the iOS device from which the add-on was purchased?

I bought the above add-on from PS Express in my iPad.  After connecting the iPad to my Macintosh and have my iPhone connected to that Mac, I found that the add-on does not work on my iPhone (there comes a message I have to buy the add-on to use).

Is it supposed to be like this (have to buy the add-on for each iOS device) or a bug?

If you purchase the Camera Pack for one device, other devices that share and sync to that same iTunes account can enjoy the features at no extra cost.  Just make sure you are signed into your iTunes account on the device (Settings -> Store), and in the Photoshop Express app go to Settings -> Purchases -> and tap 'Restore Purchases.'  iTunes will let our app know you've already purchased the Camera Pack for the same account on another device.

Hello. I logged in to my itunes account on my iphone with the username that I purchased the "camera pack" on 3/24/11 for $3.99. I just got a new iphone and the In-App Purchase didn't transfer after synching my phone to itunes. It only sync PS app. As Charlie.D suggested, I went to PS > Settings > Purchases > "Restore Purchases" but it kept telling me that I had the wrong user id. I confirmed the purchase in itunes in my purchased history. The "Restore Purchases" wasn't working. It just froze. It tried several times, turned off my phone and on twice. So, I tried my other itunes username (even though I knew it wasn't purchased with that log in) and I didn't the wront user id message. But, the restore purchase wasn't working. I read Osau_tky's response above about "selecting purchase", which I did but I got charged $4.99. I don't think I should be charged for the 2nd purchase. How do I get a refund? And, how do I make my first purchase valid and installed on my new iphone?

    hi evelinejp

I'm sorry for the difficulties you've experienced.

I can't reproduce the problem.  I just tried the restore purchase workflow, in the same scenario you just described.  I restored my phone config onto a new device via iTunes.  In Photoshop Express, I was successfully able to use Restore Purchase with my real world account.  No problem.

Unfortunately, we can not refund you for your subsequent purchase.  Your original and subsequent purchases are iTunes transactions--Adobe did not process your transaction.  Though we never advised you to complete a new purchase with a new iTunes ID by using the Photoshop Express Restore Purchase feature, Apple Support may be able to accomodate your on the 2nd purchase if you explain that you were trying to debug a iTunes transaction problem, especially if you can demonstrate that you are the same owner of two accounts with identical purchases.

For Restore Purchase to work correctly, you must use the proper iTunes credentials for the original iTunes user account which purchased the Camera Pack.   I recommend a fresh start: uninstall and reinstall Photoshop Express on your device.  Sign out of your iTunes user account in the main device Settings > Store.  Then in Photoshop Express Settings, attempt to Restore Purchase again -- you must use the same valid login credentials for the iTunes account that purchased the Express Camera Pack.  Try this on your older iPhone or other Apple device as well.  If this does not resolve the problem, please contact Apple Support to ensure your iTunes account is not blocked in some way.

    Kind regards,

    Charlie
