Hello, I'm new to Premiere Pro and I've got a big problem. I don't claim to be an expert on this so if I leave out info, just let me know and I'll correct it. I have a video taken from a Canon camcorder which I think records in AVCHD? It recorded multiple clips which I have placed in the timeline and I ultimately exported to a single movie. It was recorded in 1920x1080, 29.97 fps. The output file was huge (> 8GB) and in trying to upload to YouTube, I'm running into problems. It's taking the file but it's taking way too long. I've got to get that down to a smaller file size without just obliterating the recording. Can anyone help me please?

Just click H.264 then YouTube HD
Since you are recording at 1920x1080 raise the level up to 4.1 and increase the size up to fit your video. Make sure the frame rate is the same since it likes to change when raising the levels. Check the audio and make sure it matches your source and then Save this has your YouTube HD 1920x1080 size.
I dont know why Adobe doesnt have a 1080 & a 720 HD preset but at least you can make one.
After that it should be good.
