I want to create a actionscript mobile project in FB4.5. There is very little information on this by the way.

Anyway I want to link to another mxml component by clicking on a button. in flex it is easy but how do i call this in AS3?

View is a Flex component and you cannot use it in AS3 project. You can use Sprite and add/remove to/from stage in AS3. (Not sure if this causes memory issues etc for mobile apps compared to View.)

The only way to simulate a multi-age app is to remove elements from canvas?

You can also hide/show the page, change display list stacking order, change the page position on/off screen, etc...
