Replicate Image Ready droplets?

Jan 2, 2012 4:14 PM

For years I've been using an old version of IR to create web images and thumbnails at specific sizes in one go. I have created a buch of convenient droplets for this, which rely on the  conditional controls IR offers (checking whether image is portrait or landscape etc.).

Now on a new Mac with 10.7 I'm totally stranded since it doesn't run old PPC code.

Has anyone found an application that offers this functionality? (PS doesn't seem to have conditionals.)

Photoshop can be automated to operate conditionally with Scripts.

As for target-sizes File > Save for Web & Devices’ might help; otherwise Scripting might again offer a solution, though maybe Actions might suffice.

    .

Try the Image Processor, accessible through Tools > Photoshop in Bridge,

or even better, "Dr. Brown's Services" which is free and by the same author as the Image Processor, Adobe's Russell Brown.  It's like the Image Processor on steroids and has a most user-friendly interface.
