Hey guys.. I hit this problem tonight after trying for several hours to open Adobe PS CS5.
Photoshop worked earlier today and i have made no changes on my PC since running PS again.
I am running Windows 7 Service Pack 1 64bit
I have tried Pressing CTRL+SHIFT+ALT to delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings File with no success.
I have rebooted my computer several times.
I have ran as administrator.
As far as I can tell it has something to do with KERNELBASE.dll
You guys are my last chance.. THANK !
Brandon (Y0URD4MS31F)

You're running Photoshop 12.0.0 -- you never installed any of the updates.
Go install the updates now.
And kernelbase crashes are usually due to drivers: scanners, video card, camera, printer, etc.
And I'm curious why Photoshop is under "Hacking, mods, C++"?

Rather than repeating answers look at this link with the same problem. http://forums.adobe.com/thread/943863?tstart=0

I've been there and found no information helpful I've spent hours looking on google as said above. I would like someone to analyze my specific problem and give me a dirrect answer.

The specific problem is the defaulting module KERNELBASE.dll, version: 6.1.7601.17651 located at C:\Windows\syswow64\KERNELBASE.dll
That can mean a lot of things as stated in the other thread.
You will just have to go through a process of elimination. Suggest doing a web search for that problem and see what the solutions are.
Wish there was a simplier way, perhaps someone else has an idea or two.

More Info.
I am running three monitors and occasionally four. I've attempted opening the program with only one connected.
Here is some driver info.. I still can't pick out a problem..
I'm using a XFX Radeon HD 6950 if that helps.
