navto not working correctly

Dec 20, 2011 3:02 PM

Tags: #error #button #digital_publishing_suite #navto

I have a navto button on the first page of my document.

Exact wording: navto://Cover#1

I want it to jump to the second page in my stack.

When I press the button it jumps to the 3rd page of stack.

I have tried: navto://Cover

navto://Cover#1

navto://Cover#2

No matter what I put there it jumps to the 3rd page. I have tried deleting and rebuilding the button.

What am I doing wrong here?? This is the last thing I need to fix before I publish and I am going crazy.

Thank you,

Maryanne

If there is a action executed when you use "navto://Cover" without the "#" and without a page number there is another object which is executing the action.

    Only "navto://Cover" will do nothing!

I'm having the exact same problem, and it's extremely annoying. Deleted and recreated buttons, deleted and re-added the article. Nothing.

    Re: NAVTO:// operation not working

    As posted Before

I don't think navto# works correctly when used on moved articles, as some of my links were broken within the folio inside Acrobat.com.

This topic has popped up again, and I think it needs looked at by the DPS Team...

    Regards

I haven't moved anything. Simply created the article in InDesign, added to Folio, tested on iPad....and wasted a bunch of time trying to figure out what was wrong.

Ok, the issues I was having were my mistake. You have to specify #1 when you want to go to page #2 when using the navto command.
