I am having a problem downloading the SendNow Desktop Application. I keep getting a Error 2032 about the installation failing. I tried uninstalling flash player, and adobe air, but no luck. I also tried to install it on alternate machines, but no luck. I suspect that installation files may be blocked by web filtering software, but can ip addresses be provided for where the files are coming from, so I can add those exceptions to the firewall? I added the adobe domain and anything under it, but no luck. Thanks.
Hi,
There's another discussion here about the same problem. Take a look at responses #4 and 5.
Check your IE browser and ensure that it is NOT set to "Work Offline." A colleague found that if IE was set to "Work Offline," the SendNow Desktop App would not successfully download using Chrome.
I saw that discussion, but the solution does not work in my situation. I have tried downloading on mulitple machines, mainly Windows 7 running IE 8 fully patched. I also tried a few Windows 7 machines running IE 9, with the same results. I tried downloading SendNow with Chrome and Firefox with no luck. I was able to download successfully from a machine outside of our firewall. Are there any ports that need to be opened up on our corporate firewall to enable the download? Or is there a specific path to the installation files that we can whitelist on our firewall? I added the adobe domain, but still had no luck.
Hi dy_it - let' try one more thing. Can you attempt to download the SendNow desktop application directly via https://sendnow.acrobat.com/SendNow/SendNowDesktop.air ? Save it somewhere on your computer and once it's downloaded completely double-click to install.
Hope this works!
Cheers - Tobias
Thanks Tobias. I was able to successfully download the app, but now I'm faced with the initial problem that I had on why I uninstalled the desktop app in the first place. When signing into the desktop app, I get the error message that Acrobat.com could not contact the server to complete your action. If you want me to start a new discussion that works. Is there a specific address for the server that acrobat.com uses for the Sendnow desktop app? I want to get that whitelisted on our firewall. Thanks.
