Text fields in Print Module

Jan 9, 2012 11:52 PM

I was really hoping to see the ability to add text fields in the Print module.  In my work, I frequently need to add captions or titles to the prints.  At the moment, I have to round trip to Photoshop to make this happen.  I also make folios (see Brooks Jensen) where that require such captions.  Thanks.

Did you try to adjust the font size with the TAT tool ? That's amnazing and funny to do.

I was hoping the same thing. I'm in the slow process of switching from Aperture to Lightroom, and while I'm overall impressed, the Print module is just a bit too restricting.

The new book tool looks promising, but it is even more restrictive than the print module imo.

Here's my vote to add multiple text fields, free placement and to have the ability to add photo borders per image (ie I always use a background image, and I want to print the background borderless)... That would be all that I need for my work.

I'd like to add my vote (again) for being able to include formatted metadata fields in the print module. How hard can this be compared to the work required to add the "Book" feature? Just do it.

I could see that being useful too.  As it may not make the final release, and we wouldn't want the request to get lost in beta land, might I suggest adding it as a suggestion on the Feature Request forum http://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family where it can easily be tracked?  If you post the link to your request here, others can also vote on your request.  If you search there, you may even find similar requests that you might like to add your vote to.
