Font Color Changes Automatically

I created a logo in Photoshop C5 and it is color # c90303.    I want to create a text layer in that with the text that same color.  I am allowed to change the color number in the Character menu however when I click ok, the color automatically changes to a similar but different color c82027.   I've tried lots of different ways to get my color choice to stick, but can't figure it out.  Are text layers restricted to only certain colors?

 

Is there a work around?

 

Font = copperplate
