My PSE8 keeps crashing!

it keeps crashing after trying to load new brushers and patters. i have tried everything such as taken the new brushes and patterns etc out but it still will not work. what do I do?-this is for windows

    Please describe what you are doing exactly, when this happens?

    What are the sources of the brushes and patterns?

    Did you download them?

    What were the instructions to follow?

    all that happens is as soon as I download new brushes and patterns the computer sends an error report and tries to close the programme! the instructions were very vague

    As far as I know brushes are not available by Adobe and if you are using from other sources, please double check the reliability of those.

    thank you for your help. I have downloaded them from other resources and have asked one of my peers to go over the programme to check the reliability of the programme as so far the PSE8 is in full working condition!!!
