Hi there -
I'm looking into options for tracking product development for a small toy company. I've looked into Filemaker, and have also come across: http://online-project-management-review.toptenreviews.com/
Currently I use excel but having something more robust to run status reports etc would ultimately be better. Being able to share (and limit what certain coworkers) can access is also important.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Windchill is extremely powerful.
My son is a Winchill Champion, leading on a Windchill product life database here in the UK for an international manufacturer of medical equipment, with all the servers located in Australia. He tells me Boeing use Windchill to track the manufacture and post sales development of every plane they make.
I'd recommend taking a look at Workgroups. I used it for years at my last job with much success as far as keeping projects and employees on track and have since gone onto use the same company's online proofing software (which is included in their Workgroups Suite) for managing approvals of designs in my new business (which is more freelance work). They have a free version of Approval Manager (the proofing software) on their website. Worth a look IMO.
Hi, Luk a.
I'm not sure if this is appropriate or not, but you might look at Microsoft Project. It's a pretty robust project management app (and with power comes complexity). Used a lot in the software development world, don't know if it would translate nicely to your needs or not.
Hope this helps,
Chris
