Cursor problem in code view

Feb 1, 2012 3:03 AM

I am using DW CS4 as a code editor. Today, when I started working on a HTML template that I bought I found that my cursor is always in the wrong place, so that the letters you type appear in the middle of a word instead of at the end of it.

As it is now it is completely unworkable.

The problem is  the same as this problem described here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/786277 so I am not the first one to have this problem.

It seems to be font-related since the letterspacing (of the code in code view) seems off, some words are to tightly spaced making them difficult to read.

I did not change anything on my computer and only this particular HTML file seems to display the problem, the CSS file is allright.

I tried copying the code to another texteditor, converted it to plain text and copied it back into a new HTML document but still no luck.

Any idea how to solve this?

Thanks

Ive been thinking for years it was just my mac that was causing this cursor problem. I'm using CS5.% now but had the problem with Dreamweaver 8 as well.

Very annoying and weird how some pages and places it's fine and others it's out of position.

A very serious problem that should have been fixed ages ago.

Sometimes I just use Split screen and change the text on the code screen.
