Proto and Swiftkey Keyboard

Is there any work being done to fix the bug for Swiftkey users where the first letter of any given word keeps being repeated as new word suggestions show up on the screen?

For example, I'll type "bulletin" but by the time I'm done typing, Proto says I inputted "bbbbbbbbulletin" and I have to manually delete the added letters on every single word.

    I don't use this app myself so I'm not familiar with the behavior you describe. Is it possible to just disable Swiftkey functionality temporarily while using Proto? Text entry in Proto is pretty minimal, Text Headings and Text area boxes.

     

    You might want to report the behavior to the makers of Swiftkey too, just so they are aware. They might have recommendations.

    I could switch back to the default Android keyboard, but then it changes the settings for every app on the tablet. I'd prefer not to switch back and forth between keyboard types just for Proto. This is the only app that I've run into that problem with.

     

    The only reason I care is I'm usually doing mockups for the benefit of the client, which I'll be showing off to them in person. Most of the time they'll be thinking about taglines and what their site might be called, not just where elements of the mockup are located, so text is sometimes more important than where things are placed.

    Thanks for the additional info, I'll share it with the developers. I would also suggest reporting it with the SwiftKey makers as well. I think this would be the proper place
