Hello
I've just installed the latest security update for Snow Leopard 10.6.8 on my MacPro 2008. It seems that I can't save my Freehand files anymore, Freehand quits every time. Do you have similar issues?
This is affecting any Rosetta applications, not only FreeHand, from what I am reading. Besides the Apple Communities link above, discussion of this on Free FreeHand is here: http://freefreehand.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=654
So far, a solution is looking like getting a replacement framework that can be downloaded on the french macbidouille.com site
Replace the defective folder "ImageIO.framework" found in: "/System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices\.framework/Versions/A /Framework s" in the Finder and then fix your permissions.
Apple has now released an updated version 1.1 of the Security Update 2012-001 (v.1.1) that resolves Rosetta/PowerPC application issues:
