I'm trying to create a slideshow with the Overlay Creator panel. I've done this plenty of times before but for some reason now the buttons and check boxes in the Slideshow panel do not work. Any body run into this before or have a handling?
Hi Bob,
The problem is not that the slideshow options do not appear. I have created my images into object states (in the Object States panel) and can even assign buttons to them which, when pressed, bring up the next slide. And, when I select the images (object states), the Slideshow panel in the Overlay Creator does show up — that's all good. The bug is: the options in the Slideshow panel are not working. None of the boxes "check" when I click on them. I'm trying to "check" the Swipe to Change Image box but it won't check (as well as all other boxes).
Hey Johannes,
Yes, sometimes (on certain check boxes) there was a flittering moment of it being checked, then it unchecked immediately afterward. I've quit InDesign and also deleted prefs, but no good. Any other ideas. I'm running CS5 on a MacPro with the latest Lion OS. Possibly it's a CS5 update issue? Maybe CS5.5ers don't have this problem?
For me they don't work sometimes also.
I was curios to find out what's going on, and the reason was simple. The options are active only when all states are chosen in MSO panel. With any single state chosen – the slidesdhow options are grayed out. I suspect that this behavior was introduced lately, as I noticed it as something unusual.
Either this is as designed, or a bug. No idea;-)
