hi everybody,
I'm making some menu and I configure the buttons to menu1 (which is animated) but also for the loop point !! (lets say loop point is at 2:00)
Then, I generate the dvd (in flash ; f4v ) and when I click on these buttons, it returns to 0:00, the full beginning of the menu1 ...
I don't know how to fix that. I really need the button to send me at 2:00 (i.e. my loop point)
Thanks for help ; don't hesitate if you have some question or if I haven't been enough clear.
have a nice day
loop points work in Encore flash export in some way, yes.
In fact, concidering the animation and the buttons popping, yes it works
But when I configure one of the buttons to send me at menu 1 at the loop point ; it doesn't !
so I would tell that loop point work 50% in flash export while it works 100% in dvd export.
Other than that, I use Encore CS5.1
I agree that this does not work in flash.
My description:
The operation of the menu itself works for DVD and flash output: the animation plays, the buttons appear at the loop point, and subsequent loops while in the menu do not repeat the animation before the loop point.
When setting an end action for a timeline, you can specify the loop point, and for DVD it returns to the loop point, but in a flash build, it returns to the beginning of the animation.
This appears to be a bug.
bug report (and feature request) form
Edit: I submitted a bug report as follows.
See thread:
http://forums.adobe.com/message/4197329#4197329
A timeline's end action can be set to a motion menu's loop point, and this works correctly in a DVD. It does not work when the build is to flash.
The help files point out some limits to flash output, but there is no mention of this limitation.
Generally, you do not get updates on reported and/or identified bugs. Encore updates may fix bugs, but this may considered less a bug and more of a feature limitation of the flash export.
Adobe just modified its help system so that a comment on a help page is automatically added as a forum thread. I added a comment on the help page for flash export (http://help.adobe.com/en_US/encore/cs/using/WS130B1F01-AE62-4c59-BA44- F29ACD8522EEa.html#community) which was added as a forum post (http://forums.adobe.com/message/4200087#4200087).
But I think it will take one of us users to post something if this is ever fixed.
