cant download photoshop cs5 as it says i need to close adobe bridge

I tried to download the creative suite cs5 but when it came to the final stage of installation it said i had to close adobe bridge, but it wasnt open and i dont really know what it is!

i have unistalled everything adobe inclusing bridge, and done an adobe clean up thing but then when i try to re-download photshop it still is saying close bridge evn though it is no where on my pc! please help

    You have Bridge set to automaticaly start on login, so it is running the the background.  You can change that option in advanced preference, and reboot computer.

     

    OR open Task Manager, clck on Processes Tab and search for bridge.exe and close it.

    Way too old a thread to be useful, but the background Bridge is there in the Hidden icons on the right hand side of the task bar.  Right click and exit.
