Contrary to the indication in the documentation above, the name attribute is not required. As far as usage goes, you'll certainly want to use it for SELECT queries since the point of those is to obtain a recordset; however, for INSERT, DELETE, and UPDATE queries that don't return recordsets, you may not want to use the name attribute.
