After importing PDFs using the HTMLResources.zip method, is it possible to link to a particular page of a PDF? I tried doing it like you would link to a page in a folio ("filename.pdf#2") but no luck. I'm assuming using a navto won't work because the folio won't find the PDF in the HTMLResources that way.
Has anyone else been able to do this? If not, it should definitely be an added feature in the future.
Thank you.
Hi Mark
THank you for the link
I have make a test but it doesnt work, I am quite sure I didn't do it well
I have imported my HTMLResources.zip successfully but the button with the GO to URL doesnt work
does the entire pathe is:
I have tried also with navto:// but same think
Because I have tried other path but it is still "in progress3 icon but the PDF doesnt show. Sorry It might be obvious but I am not familiar with that
Maybe I didnt put the zip file in the good place
Here are the general steps:
1. Select the contents of the HTMLResources folder and create a .zip file. Do not create your .zip file from the HTMLResources folder, or it won't work. In your example, you would select the Test.pdf file, compress it to a .zip file, and rename it HTMLResources.zip.
2. Import the HTMLResources.zip file.
3. Create a button with a Go To URL action. In your example, you would specify HTMLResources/Test.pdf. Upload article.
4. Test on iPad. (The PDFs don't appear in the desktop viewer.)
Do NOT use http:// or navto://, just HTMLResources/name.pdf
But I guess the original question was to go to a specific page in the PDF (like navto#), as far as I have tested that is not possible. Inn that case make several seperate PDF files of pages and link to that PDF.
