check an psd-file for alpha channels before importing

Hi guys,

I have the following problem. In my plugin we have an import-tool that imports bitmap-images from a database into an .indd-document with placegun etc. Is there any chance to check psd-Files for alpha channels before importing to indesign? I have found the IImageUtils class but I have no idea to use this class on a native file.

Hi Holger

If you want to do that before you import the file then you need to parse PSD Image Resources according to .psd file format specification
