Is it possible to apply text shadowing, contours, beveling, warping etc....  I see no abilities to manipulate the way text is displayed and can find no tutorials that demonstrate this ability.....

Do we have to wait for this basic feature ????

Thanks,  IT-Koncern

    Hey,

    You can use jQuery .css to apply CSS styles. For example;

    sym.$("Text").css("text-shadow", "2px 2px #ccc");

    It's unfortunate though, text shadow does not work in IE 9.

    Thanks for the suggestion! One of the challenges we have with Edge is that we have so much great stuff we want to bring you that it's hard to fit everything in. While the type features are a bit lacklustre for now, we do want to improve them in the future.

    In the meantime there's some great things you can do on your own using layered text as you descriebed or using CSS. I put together a type sample page here http://sarahjustine.com/edge/Typography/, some of those examples are already available in the Labs demo file section.
