file conversion problems

Feb 21, 2012 7:58 AM

Two months ago I had to delete Adobe in order to open a document on our realtor MLS listing page.  I reinstalled it later and now cannot open PDF files.  When I open a PDF it is "gibberish" and says File Conversion Text Encoding.  I click on default Windows and it is still gibberish.  It has become a serious issue for me.  Any help?  Thanks,

Start Adobe Reader and use the menu File > Open...

You could also reassociate Reader as the default PDF viewing app.

To do the same Right Click on any PDF and select Open With > Chose Program. Chose Adobe Reader in the diakog box that opens and check the "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" checkbox and click on the OK button.
