The Flash Player Settings Manager is currently open (Windows)

You are getting message "The Flash Player Settings Manager is currently open" during the Flash Player installation, despite the fact that the Flash Player Settings Manager is not running.

 

To resolve the issue, do the following:

  • on 32-bit systems: delete file FlashPlayerCPLApp.cpl from C:\Windows\system32
  • on 64-bit systems: delete file FlashPlayerCPLApp.cpl from C:\Windows\syswow64

then try to run the installer again.
