Not appearing correctly

Feb 28, 2012 6:31 AM

Hi everybody

I am new here so please be gentlle with me. I have had a site coded and when I look at it in dream weave rmx2004 or dream weaver 4 it seems the main content area is appearing under the left hand navigation. Don't get me wrong when I upload the site to the server it appears fine.

I am just not used to the main area appearing under the navigation. Any help would be appreciated.I would prefer the navigation to be on the left and the main content area to be on the right hand side and not below the navigation

I have attached an imageSnap 2012-02-28 at 13.42.48.png

    I used to read comic books because of the images. Loved them.

    When I started with web development, I realised that images did not tell me a thing, it is all in the markup (HTML) and style rules (CSS). Hence, if you want serious assistance in solving your problem, please supply a link to your site.

    Change the 'rightside' cs to as below:

    #rightside {

        width: 637px;

        float: left;

        margin: 14px 0px 0px 30px;

    }

    Add/modify

    #header {

        position: static;

    }

    .header-social {

        position: static;

        float: right;

        margin: -30px 25px 0;

    }

    #rightside {

        width: 670px;

        float: left;

        margin: 14px 25px 0px 30px;

    }

    Hi I have managed to get it to show properly in the browsers but still not showing correctly in dreamweaver.

    If I modify the css that you have mentioned above will that make it appear correctly in dream weaver mx 2004?

    Change it and see. If it doesnt work change it back and try something else.
