Hi,
i created seveeral business cards and other artworks in Illustrator cs5.
I was wondering if Illustrator can generate a vizualization of business cards (for example) like if it was a real PRINTED business card and place on table ?
if not, do you know any tool that do such thing for illustrator work ?
thx.
x,
You may add a background consisting of a photograph or something else representing the table beneath the artwork, and then add a rectangle corresponding to the size and colour of the card stock itself in between, then select the rectangle and the artwork and change the perspective to match that of the background, if any (perspective); one way to create the perspective is with the Free Transform Tool, see Helpfile/whatever for instructions.
i believe if u work with vanishing points u can creat something cool, as uour colleague Jacob Bugge says creat a table if a real texture.. to try to make it "real" u should work in a very consistent background... or render it in some 3d program ( more complex if u dunno) ...
Convert your business card artwork to a symbol, then stack symbol instances to your heart's content. If you want perspective, use "Envelope Destort" on a symbol instance. Choose "Make with Mesh", using 1 Row and 1 Column. Then use "Free Transform Tool" to distort it into perspective. There are several keyboard shortcuts that let you quickly distort using Free Transform:
On Mac
1. Hold "Cmd" and drag a corner to move only one corner of the envelope
2. Hold "Cmd-Option-Shift" to distort 2 apposing corners at once
Adding a little drop shadow appearance will create some realism.
Hope this helps.
