Setting Up Remote FTP Connection.

Feb 26, 2012 7:50 AM

Hi Everyone,  I've bee creating web pages for years and most of that time with the same hosting company.  Out of the blue I have lost the FTP setup info.  Any help greatly appreciated.  Thanks, Morgan

Wouldn't your server provider have this information?

Wow, I've always heard good things about host monster. What do they say when you ask them for the FTP login info?

After thinking about this, I'm not sure they would have your FTP login info anyway. Have you considered just setting up a new FTP profile in DW for your current site?

lol Very good reason to keep a database or spreadsheet of your login names and passwords for everything!

I created a simple little coldfusion app with a MySQL database for such a reason. Now I only have to remember to insert usernames and passwords when I have to create new ones.
