Does Premiere Elements 10 support importing of digital recordings of broadcast tv shows I've made ?

I am using Windows Media Center and the OS is Windows 7.  These recordings are on the hard drive of my PC.  The file extension is .mtv (windows recorded TV)

Premiere Elements can not work with that format of video. You'll need to convert it to a more standard camcorder format or edit it in a program (possibly Windows MovieMaker) that can work with that format.

    Welcome to the forum.

See HERE for a list of Supported File Formats, to convert to. The ultimate is DV-AVI Type II w/ 48KHz 16-bit PCM/WAV Audio. That is a very specific format/CODEC, and should Import and edit easily and beautifully.

    Good luck,
