Adding a favicon

Feb 29, 2012 3:56 PM

Hello. I'd like to add a favicon to my website and I tried to follow what I read on the Adobe Contribute blog. I made the favicon.ico but when I followed the directions for adding it by

uploading it to your Server root folder, using Contribute through the option File-> Publish File from my Computer.

I received the following prompt.

"Please enter a filename for this new page. The filename will be part of the pages web address."

Did I do something wrong? I have read online that in some instances you can just upload the favicon to your root folder and the browser will see it.

I'd like to do this using Contribute since I don't do code and I don't have a program like dreamweaver.

Thanks-

Have you tried File>Send file from my computer?

    HI Jim,

Please go ahead and publish it to your Site root folder. If you like to publish in different location, follow the alternative method mentioned in the blog.

    Regards,

    M. Dominic.
