Newbie to ACS .. Need Help !

Feb 27, 2012 6:56 PM

I have been asked to setup Adobe content server. Is it relatively easy to setup or do I have to get a expert to get it done ?

I have a fair knowledge of web servers , but very new to this.

Thanks.

If I were you, I would start by following the quick start guide and setting up a local dev server - to get a feel for what's involved with a simple setup.  It should take an hour or two (assuming you already have the OperatorURL certificate).

Then start by describing what you want to do with the setup to the System Integrator (ie Bluefire or Datalogics) that you are getting ACS4 from and then ask them for advice about how to best accomplish the setup.  (how many servers, what you want for production, staging, dev, etc environment, what you already have servers.

The answer ( along with your budget) should give you a better idea of what's going on.

That all being said, I think that you'll find that ACS4 expertise is fairly rare, as most of it will be working for existing companies rather than being available for consulting.

    Good Luck.
