When you add text it is place on its own layer. Then activate the Move tool which will allow you to rotate the text layer to any angle you want.

    Rob,

Type the text, and before you commit, in the type tool's option bar, click on the 2nd icon from the right to warp the text. Several style options.

For those who are also wondering how to do this, it's done by skewing the type:

    1. Select the move tool.
    2. Click on the text to select it.
    3. Click on one of the re-sizing squares to display the Move options, and select "Skew":

    4. Drag one of the corner squares to pull the text into alignment:

    Ken,

Are you doing this in Photoshop Elements or in Photoshop?

I use PEv.8. In order to make this work, I have to do the following:

    1. Type the text
    2. Simplify the text layer
    3. Go to Image>transform>skew.
    4. Click on a reference point location, then skew with the little arrow outside the bounding box.

These options are not available via the move tool on my system.

Be that as it may, it is an excellent technique.
