It was a good run. So long.
Found a new reason to stay with director: Dispite I use director for years, not until quite recently I discovered the possibilities to use 3D with orthogonal camera for 2D applications. Incredibly fast, high quality (e.g. rotations are not comparable with 2D rotations) in comparison to 2D director and by the way also with flash / air. I'm asking myself why I didn't discover these possibilities earlier, could have used them where I used imaging lingo and it would have been much easier to implement, eg for an accordion control.
I knew the forums were closed for new posts, but now the posts seem to be gone completely. I went to search for an old post of mine because someone (I think it was you Randal) had replied with some code that I needed. Dag nab it.
You can find most of the old threads on the Wayback Machine, e.g.:
I tired that and I was able to locate the post, but when I click it I get redirected to the adobe forums. What am I missing? Here is the link I am trying to access
