Flash intro with skip intro button

I have to create a splash page with a skip intro button for class. I have the website already built in flash.I need to put intro in and have a skip intro button to go to my home page which I believe is labled home page. I have tried many different coding to accomplish this and I am stuck.

Please help me my final is due today and I dont have it. I need help

    as2 or as3?  what's the reference for you skip intro button?  where's your home page?

    frame 50 is my home page

    i put in stop(); at frame 50 and when I put code for skip intro it cycles thru do I need to make my intro just a movie clip and put it in frame one. i think the reference for my skip intro button is skip intro. I dont understand it thats why I am asking ....

    if frames 1 to 49 are your intro, your skip intro button is skip_btn and you're using as3, you can add you can use:

     

    skip_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,skipF);

    function skipF(e:Event):void{

    gotAndStop(50);

    }
