Will Lightroom 4 work on my MacBook Pro 10.5.8

Is there any possible way to make lightroom 4 work on my macbook pro 10.5.8?  i tried trial and it won't open.

    No, the minimum OS specification is Mac OS X 10.6.8.

    Lion is about $30 from what I remember, but yes you do need to pay to upgrade to 10.7. Check your machine will support it first.

    Sean,

     

    I don't think you can upgrade from OS X 10.5x (Leopard) directly to 10.7x (Lion). I know that when it was first released had to have 10.6x (Snow Leopard) installed, even if it was on an external drive.

    You can do it via a USB stick from Apple without Snow Leopard, but it's actually cheaper to go through 2 OS's. $58 vs $69.
