I doubt you're using Authorware to make an eBook....? What software tool are you using?
Best to post in that forum....likely InDesign?
That said, it probably has something to do with the font you're using (embed it with the project?) or the encoding (ASCII vs UTF-8 vs Unicode) you have setup...maybe.

I am on a mac and want to check my .ePub file. Opened manuscript in Digital Editions. The jacket did not show at all, some page breaks (or might be section breaks) are ignored and ALL of the carriage returns (or ENTERS) are question marks. Presumably Digital Editions is the right place, and not Authorware which I have only just found?
