I have Adobe Acrobat Pro v10.1.1 installed on a Windows 7 64-bit system. Everything seems to be working fine, however, I keep getting the above listed error whenever I try to update the app. Whenever I try to update the app I get the error message displayed below:
I looked into the error and I found a reference to a fix for Adobe 8.x on a Windows XP system, but it specifically states the fix is not for Windows 7. I've read that the issue is that the Transformer path in the registry can be pointing to an invalid path, but it seems to be correct.
I have the following in my registry...
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\68AB67CA3301004 F7706000000000050
Key: Transforms = C:\Windows\Installer\{AC76BA86-1033-F400-7760-000000000005}\1033.mst
I've checked and that path and file do exist.
Any thoughts on how to clear up this issue?
Thanks,
Merg
Well, I don't use Carbonite.
As for the repair installation, when I click on Repair I get the following error message:
I can't believe that Adobe does not have anything on their site regarding this issue. Correction, the only thing on their site is how to correct this issue for Acrobat 8 when using it in Windows XP.

It appears that your Acrobat installation is corrupted. I suggest you go to Adobe's web site that has information how to uninstall it. Normally, you can try to uninstall it by going to Control Panel -> Programs and Features and remove Acrobat there. If this does not work, Adobe's web site should tell you how to manually uninstall it.
Then you should reinstall it and apply the latest updates.
Good luck.
