Hello I am working on a new system just for Digital Art using Adobe CS5 Master Collection and AutoCad and a few others I may need, just wanted to get your oppinions on how you would set up the system or anything I should look out for this is what I'm thinking:

Windows 7 Pro 64 bit

Intel i7 sandy Bridge-E 3960X  Extreme Core LGA2011

8 Dinn Kingston 4Gb 1600 Hyper X

SLI Quadro 4000's

2- Kingston Hyper-X 120GB SSD not in RAID single partition Drive 1 for OS Drive 2 for APPS and current project files

2- Seagate Baracuda 1TB 7200RPM HDD's not in RAID single partition Drive 1 and 2 for Additional save data and completed projects ect.

1- LG SuperBlu Multi Blueray burner with Lightscribe

1- Samsung DVD burner w/Lightscribe

Will be getting an external 2TB or 3TB 3.0 HDD for incremental backup of all the drives; may also get acouple of additional 120GB drives to clone my two SSD's just incase they shutdown on me.

Dell U2711 IPS flat panel was going to get the U2410 but they had a massive sale I saw today and free shipping so I couldn't resist (not on the 24" s otherwise  I would have bought two 24's instead of one 27)

I primarily run Photoshop and Premiere Pro along with CAD but looking to get more involved with AE / IL / and ofcourse the rest of the suite.

Comments and suggestions are welcomed; but your oppinion is requested... How would you set up the Storage Drives and what would you do differently?

Thank you for your time

You need way more than 120 gigs for the O/S and apps. Yes, I know you have two of them listed there but getting a 256 would be a better idea, IMO.

Are you saying you’re going to install 32 gigs of RAM?

Put in a 256 and use it for the O/S and apps. That should be enough. You can use the standard drives for data.
