I'm trying to help someone print a PDF to 92x92 inches. Each time either of us tries, we get an error that says 'The document could not be printed.' Then a second error message pops up: 'There were no pages selected to print.'
I ran a number of test scenarios and was able to print up to 54x54 successfully. When I tried 55x55, it errored out. Strangely, when I tried 55x40 it worked fine. So it might be a matter of a limit to the number of square inches? But I heard that Acrobat X Pro should be able to print things with millions of inches of dimension.
Any ideas out there?
Please update your acrobat to latest version 10.1.2.
You can download the patch form: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5324
If this doesnt solve the problem then please share the pdf file you are tying to print so that i can reproduce the issue.
Thanks for the response. Sorry it took me a while to get back to you; the designer I was working with was busy. In any case, she said that it's with *any* PDF that she tries to reprint to PDF to the customized larger size of 54x54. I also tried it. She is on 10.1.1, I am on 10.1.2. So, I'm not sure what to say?!
For anybody else following this, I figured out a work-around. It does require InDesign, however...(messy, but it works).
This workflow is optimized for architecture where we need our scale to remain predictable and consistent.
