Acrobat X crashes when saving scanned document

When we scan a document to our desktop, we are able to view the PDF file just fine.  When we go to File > Save As, the Acrobat window goes gray and we get an "Adobe Acrobat has stopped working" error.  "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.  Please close the program."  Then there is a "Close the program" button.  This problem happens for all our users.  We run Winsows 7, SP1, 64-bit.

When I go to the event logs, this is what is recorded:

Faulting application name: Acrobat.exe, version: 10.1.2.45, time stamp: 0x4f02e85c

Faulting module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000

Exception code: 0xc0000005

Fault offset: 0x00000000

Faulting process id: 0x374

Faulting application start time: 0x01cd06af337d5f2a

Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0\Acrobat\Acrobat.exe

Faulting module path: unknown

Report Id: 76ea4a6a-72a2-11e1-9980-d48564b8d968

The scan saves a local version of the file to the C drive; we are able to go to that directory, open the file, and then use File > Save As to save it.

Any help is appreciated.
