I encountered a bit of difficulty opening a .Tif file which was saved in CS5?

This problem occured three times before the file finally did open in CS6.

    my glas orb is defect,.. what problem exactly?

    The problem was the tiff file opened and immediatly closed down in CS6, it didn't freeze the app but the image could not be seen until the third try.

    I am wondering if this kind of issue has been seen by others.

    i have opended at least 70-80 images today.. all of them tif most with LZW compression and had no problems.

    If Photoshop was still running, but you couldn't see the image in the document window -- then that's probably a bug in your display driver.

    Try updating your video card drivers from the GPU maker's web site.

    I am using an hp laptop dv7t, it runs win 7 64bit and has an intel graphics co-processor.

    The machine has a total of 6 gig of ram. 

    The processor is an i5 cpu M460 @ 2.53GHz.

    The fact that the system had difficulty opening the .tif  it has opened without further problems after re-boot several times.  I've opened approximately 50more .tif files without incident.
