A conflicting version of Adobe Photoshop CS6 exists on this computer.

I have leftovers from CS6 release version all over the place. Deleted them manually as best I could both in my folders (program files and programs files x86) and searched for registry files as well, but the Beta installer still detects the prerelase version. I'm on Win 7 64-bit. Anybody gotta a similar experience? Or solution? Please help? Thanks!

 

I get this message: A conflicting or prerelease version of Adobe Photoshop CS6 exists on this computer. The conflicting version must be removed before installing from a current media.

    You probably need to run the cleaner script to get rid of all traces.

    Yeah, that's what I had in mind also. Any link where I can download it specificly for CS6 prerelease. That would be big help, please. I'm on Win 7 64-bit as I already mentioned in my previous post.

    There are indeed other files where a manual deletion may not remove all the bits. That said, I will put you in contact with an Adobe employee to assist with your scenario.

    Thank you, Jackie. The clean up tool that Chris mentioned looks like my best bet. Can you or him provide me with the link. Google got me back here. lol

    A month ago I had a release of PS CS6 installed that I removed even without opening it. Now, trying to install the beta I am getting the same message as yours (I'm on osx but problem is the same). I have manually removed every CS6 files/folder, repaired permissions, rebooted...nothing.
    Anyone has a solution to this? Do exist a cleaner for CS6?

    i have same problem, i try some days version and in new beta i have 0 days to try

    i have see cleaner tool but not say works with CS6

    It works with the cleaner tool. You select "CS5-CS5.5" in the first menue and then "Adobe CS6 driver" in the second menue. Installation works fine after that!

    Yeah, I just tried it with the cleaner tool and it works. "Adobe CS6 driver" option.

     

    Problem solved.

    Yep, up and running! Run the cleaner, installed then PS6 won't start. After a few reboots the it started.
