Not that I have the answer but I have the same problem. Does it look like this?
I don't even have this kind of Serpentine in my font book, which is why I'm really confused. This is something a programer/coder for dreamweaver should be notified of. I'm in no position to upgrade to CS6 yet, so someone please do their job and help us out. Thanks!
I am experiencing this same issue. I have been searching for a while. Im not sure if its relatied to my recent upgrade to Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4 or not, but this has all of a sudden been happening for a few weeks now.
This is interfering with my business and being able to effectively complete projects.
Does anyone have a fix?
I'm not sure if any of you still need help, but I was having the exact same issue with the font display in DW (after installing a whole bunch of new fonts). I found this thread, and didn't have the serpentine font, so (after getting a little angrier) I did some further investigating and quickly figured out the problem myself...
The font you DON'T want is: Babylon5-Hollow-Regular.ttf
This font looks very much like the serpentine font, and looks identical to the screenshot posted, but if you delete the
STUP!D
Free, Babylon 5 font, and then check Dreamweaver, hopefully you should find (like I did) that the problem vanished!!!
I also did NOT have to clear the font cache or even shutdown or restart Dreamweaver... It was as simple as doing a search of the fonts with "baby" and then deleting the noted font.
I hope that helps some of you who may still be pulling out your hair... Let me know if it worked for you.
