Load an HDR image into Pixel Bender Toolkit

Hi,

 

I've just started playing with the Pixel Bender Toolkit.  The documentation notes that if used in AfterEffects, Pixel Bender filters must be able to handle HDR images, and also that pixels are always internally regarded as 32-bit floats, so I assumed it wouldn't be a problem to load a HDR image in some format (ideally a 32-bit floating point one).  However I can't find a way to do it.  Is it possible?
