I have a new job:

I'll probably be even more active here on this forum. Well, not in the Lounge, necessarily.

Congratulations, Todd.  I think.  At least the new job title, "product management team", sounds much more important than the old job title of tech-support-guy-who-encourages-bug-reports-from-users.  That was the correct title, wasn't it?

Good for you... and, if that new job title also comes with a new (higher) job pay scale, be sure to check with Hunt on the right vintage of wine to celebrate

Ah, Seattle. How I miss Seattle; I used to live in West Seattle out on Alki point. Is Spuds still around?

Lucky your bump up did not get you moved to San Jose, so congrats on both scores.

Sincere congratulations on the move up!

I hope you prepare your replacement in 'technical support group' for the

inevitable complaints regarding the useless information and delay tactics

that have historically been employed by phone and chat support.

At least you won't have to collect case numbers for follow-ups anymore.

    Todd,

I just broke out the Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame!

Sounds like a promotion, but things like that, often end up being much more work, for less pay. Hope that is not the case here.

The really good news is that you will now be spending more time with us, and we greatly appreciate that.

    Congratulations!!!!

    45 degrees ?

Ah, the perfect temp to serve Champagne (and "most" sparklers).

Bill, actually I meant that to be Todds new angle toward his job, bu you are more then welcome to use it to serve what Im guessing is a vintage champagne.

This sounds to me like you may have some more clout when it comes to the future direction (read: "features") of Premiere Pro.

I consider that very, very good thing.

That's the way to go Jim. Suck up to Todd, with the balloons, the flowers and the Champagne, and then hand him your list of Feature Requests!

Ah, 45 degrees on the protractor of perception, related to the job. Sorry, I missed that. Must me my one-track mind, or perhaps it was my declaring Wine-Thirty early, to celebrate Todd's big promotion.

Of course now, Todd will demand that we refer to him as the "Grand Poobah," or perhaps the "Big Kahuna." That holds especially for Jim, if he wants his Feature Request lists to even be considered, that is.

Had I realized that you were a "spirits guy," I'd have poured my Pappy Van Winkle 25 year, small batch Bourbon. Hey, the Veuve went down well, and wife hates Bourbon.
