    if you don't see the same problem with http://www.kglad.com/Files/forums/streamError2.html you probably have a coding issue.

    if you want to prevent retrieval of any file from cache you can append a changing query string so instead of:

     

    var songFile:URLRequest=new URLRequest("whatever");

     

    use:

     

    var songFile:URLRequest=new URLRequest("whatever?queryS="+Math.random());

    you're not cleaning the user's cache.  you don't and can't control that.  you're just making the browser think it needs to load a new file.

     

    if you're retrieving the url from an xml file, use the string methods to append that query string.
