90 Megs, whoa ...

Mar 22, 2012 9:15 PM

Just downloaded and taken a good look at the latest issue of Fast Company. Killer design, however, the most impressive part, they got a full magazine in under 90 megs! Even if you're not a fan of the content, it's worth checking out as research.

Anyone got any theories as to how they pulled this off?

the text looks crisp on the new iPad. i think they used renditions to address both devices. using the PDF format would result in such small file sizes — but I thought smooth scrolling isnt available for PDF articles, and now I am very confused.

i don't think so, it contains interactivity and design that would be

    complicated work in HTML.
