I am not getting accurate rendering in LR4 comparerd to ACR 6.7. What version of ACR is in LR4?
While ACR 6.7RC in PS CS5 can display the edit functions from LR 4 then this may be a logical assumption. but it does not provide the new basic tools to make further adjustments. Maybe Adobe can confirm the full extent of the two versions.
For instanvce if you do not have LR 4 can ACR 6.7RC in PS CS5 process a raw file in Process version 2012????
Why wouldn't the Process version of 2012 be the same in both? I would think you would have to assume that, one would be 2011 or 2013? Opening only in ACR never has been able to duplicate the sliders in LR. Especially now with LR4. Though the benefit I always assumed was the same... until now.
I would have assumed too that they would be the same - a file in LR4 and the same file opened in ACR6.7 or 7.0. Where do you see differences?
If you could upload a file to dropbox and send me a link I can check on my Mac.
Honestly, it is not significant enough for many, and onscreen, but by print, which I do to use as a final analysis. My screen is a NEC 3090WQXI with its only calibration software and hardware, and I can tell, but another screen (MBP) the same is not showing.
There is a difference. Presently, in Photoshop CS5, you are using Adobe Camera Raw 6.7 which is a release candidate on Adobe Labs. However, Lightroom uses the ACR 6.6 technology. So, I am correct in noticing the diff. And, from what I was told, Adobe is working on Lightroom 4.1 release candidate.
