CF8 Server Question

Apr 21, 2008 6:56 AM

We just installed CF8 standard edition on a web server. The application that I built can be accessed by everyone that needs to access it when they are at the office. The minute they go to access it remotely, however it will not work. The error message states:

A License exception has occurred.

You tried to access the Developer Edition from a disallowed IP (206.105.160.66). The Developer Edition can only be accessed from 127.0.0.1 and two additional IP addresses. The additional IP addresses are: 206.105.161.111,205.174.187.10

Coldfusion Administrator also states that it is a developer's edition. I talked to the Server administrator and he said that he entered the serial number during the install? Can anyone give me a hint on what might be going on? Thanks.

Tell the server administrator to go to the ColdFusion Administrator page and
the click the info (I) icon in the top-right hand corner of the page.

Have him/her re-enter the license number there.

We are having the same issue. Our server crashed. We rebuilt it and have tried entering our serial number 3 times.  It takes the number fine but still throws the same message when we access our 3rd website. (Our license is for CF 8 standard, were running on Windows Server 2003 64-bit, CF8 64 bit).

When I click ont he SETTINGS SUMMARY, it lists Version 8,0,1,195765, Edition: Developer, Serial Number: (The number I entered), Operating SYs: Windows 2003 ...

Any ideas. I've tried restarting everything several times and have reentere the serial number 3 times.

    Thanks,

Found the issue: Apparently ColdFusion 8 64 bit is only available for Enterprise Edition and not Standard.
