Hello,
I have installed Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.0 that is updated to the latest patch as of yesterday. This install creates an addin for Office 2007 Outlook Adobe pdfmaker. Microsoft Office Outlook will create a window that states" Outlook experienced a serious problem with 'acrobat pdfmaker office come addin' add-in. If you have seen this message multiple times, you should disable this add-in and check to see if update is available. Do you want to disable this add-in" YES or NO.
The issue here is that this window appears but the user is still able to work with the plugin just fine. Its just this annoying window popping up. There does not seem to be any issues with this Add-in as he is able to work with it in Outlook just fine. Outlook just creates this "error" as if an issue has arisen but in reality nothing happened.
There is no update for Adobe 9 pro. We updated it to the very latest. Is there any way i can stop Outlook from complaining as its really working just fine, at least from the users perspective.
Thank you for your help.
Have you verified that the Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Add-In is selected in the Office 2007 application's list of available add-ins? To do this:
If Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Add-In appears in the list but the checkbox beside it is not selected, then click the checkbox. Click OK. Then close and reopen the Office 2007 application.
If Adobe PDFMaker COM Add-In is not in the list of available add-ins, then click Add and navigate to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat [9.0]\PDFMaker\Office. Select PDFMOfficeAddin.dll. Click OK. Then close and reopen the Office 2007 application.
Note: If you installed Acrobat to a location other than the default of C:\Program Files\Adobe, then modify the folder path above for your installation location.
Thank you for taking your time to help with this issue. The user stated that the issue just disappeared and no longer appearing as it once was. He did check per your instruction and found that the PDF addin did exist and was checked.
I will mark this as close. Thank you again for your help.
