Illustrator trial not opening

I have downloaded the trial version of Illustrator and all the files are saved to my desktop, it was succesfully downloaded, the program icon is there and even in my programs list but it doesnt open! How do I get it to open?

Do you receive an error message when you launch the program? Which operating system are you using?

No error messages came up. All worked out though I un-installed it and then re-installed it so it works now!
