Smudging when printing from Word

Hello ,

 

W7, Acrobat X Pro, Word 2010.

 

I have created some stationary in Framemaker and in Word for our company.

 

Framemaker is fine, but when printing to pdf in Word, our logo appears smudged.

 

The first image is in Word, the second in Acrobat

The settings are Press Quality on the highest res.

 

Any ideas?

    I've encountered this before when converting graphics in Word to PDF. It's as though the transparency isn't created properly or layered correctly in the PDF. You can delete the black object layer if you go to the Content Navigation Pane and locate the object there.
